ADHD Assessments

An ADHD assessment is a thorough, evidence-based evaluation that helps determine whether symptoms meet the diagnostic criteria for Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Our assessments go beyond a simple checklist. We consider a wide range of factors, including developmental history, behavior patterns, and co-occurring conditions.

You will receive a comprehensive written report with insights tailored to your unique strengths and challenges, as well as practical recommendations for treatment, academic/workplace accommodations, and next steps.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how a person communicates, interacts with others, and experiences the world. No two individuals are the same—which is why a thoughtful, individualized assessment is so important. We use gold-standard tools and a strengths-based, neurodiversity-informed approach to assess for ASD. Our process includes:

  • A comprehensive developmental and medical history interview
  • Observation and interaction using validated diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2)
  • Cognitive, language, and adaptive functioning assessments as needed
  • Input from parents, caregivers, teachers, or significant others
  • Screening for co-occurring concerns (e.g., anxiety, ADHD, learning differences)

After the evaluation, we provide a clear explanation of findings, a written report, and personalized recommendations for support, services, and next steps.

Psychoeducational Assessment

A psychoeducational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that explores how a person learns and learning disabilities. It helps identify strengths, challenges, and any underlying issues that may be impacting academic, cognitive and emotional functioning. This also includes an evaluation of various information processing skills essential in learning (e.g., short- term and working memory, oral language skills, phonological processing, executive functioning skills).

You will receive practical, school-friendly guidance and documentation that can support Individual Education Plans (IEP), tutoring interventions, or testing accommodations.

Giftedness Assessment

A giftedness assessment is a formal evaluation of a person's cognitive abilities using standardized intelligence testing and, when appropriate, additional academic and emotional-behavioral measures. It helps determine whether an individual meets the criteria for gifted or high-ability designation and identifies how they learn best. A clinical assessment of giftedness offers valuable insight into a person's intellectual strengths—and provides the documentation often needed for school enrichment opportunities or specialized educational programs.

Socio-Emotional Assessments

A clinical socio-emotional assessment helps identify the underlying emotional, behavioral, or interpersonal challenges someone may be experiencing. It provides clarity and guides effective support, intervention, or treatment.

A socio-emotional assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that explores a person's emotional health, behavioral patterns, self-regulation skills, and social functioning. It can help uncover:

  • Anxiety, depression, or mood dysregulation
  • Trauma-related responses
  • Emotional and behavioral concerns at home or school
  • Difficulties with self-esteem, identity, or interpersonal skills

This type of assessment is often recommended when emotional struggles are affecting school performance, friendships, family dynamics, or daily functioning.
