Christine Vanderheiden, BA
Mental Health Facilitator
Christine earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia in 1996. Christine has had a successful career in Human Resources and Mental Health, working with companies such as Ceridian LifeWorks Canada, Family Guidance International (FGI), Coca-Cola, and Sobeys Inc.
In her various roles, Christine has promoted mental health in the workplace by partnering with corporate organizations to launch Employee and Family Assistance Programs (EFAP) to their employees and by performing ongoing quality assurance research to ensure that companies continue to meet the mental health needs of EFAP clients. Christine also worked as an EFAP Intake Clinical Counsellor and as a Case Manager for employees with disabilities through Worker's Compensation. Christine has been a member of the Juravinski Cancer Centre's PFAC (Patient and Family Advisory Committee), a collaborative committee focused on the improvement of patient care.
At Lakeside Psychological and Educational Services, Christine supports our team in their clinical work. She also works one-on-one with individual students providing executive function and educational support.
